while I love Starry night...i think I may get tired of it...bu I wonder if there are other options

but I will tell you, I love the look of the tile art backsplash. we are going to do something like that over the stove.

Anyway -
I cant see the pic but I personally dont like anything that is a replica of a very famous painting. Works like starry night are all over everything from tshirts to oven mitts and it cheapens the beauty of the work to me.

But there are some great designer tile options that have great patterns and textures.

I always love the look of tile art when I see it but I agree I am afraid I would tire of it.

I agree that starry night has been over done...It wouldn't go with my kitchen to begin with...

but I am intrigued by the mural look with tiles...just don't know what I would want...if anything...

I was thinking of doing something in the way of a tile backsplash lately. I might go with some random design vs. an actual something though.

I like the last one you posted.

I would take a look in bath stores to see what they have displayed. For some reason I need to see something like that in real life and sort of in it's place before committing to it since tiles are hard to change.

we saw tons of these in Spain...and I think that I should have gotten them...maybe I could find some in Mexico?

Thanks Erica the tile is tumbled marble around it and the Mural is tumbled marble too!! To be honest it is new, so I am not sick of it. I really don't think I would get sick of it, because when I grew up and all my other apartments and houses had nothing and that was boring so I am just grateful to have something!!! We bought that and a medallion for the foyer from ebay...did you check on there?

My MIL has a lot of tile connections in Mexico...so maybe I will see what they have...or ask them to custom make something...

IMO a backsplash should be simple and not include anything trendy or of the moment that you like. For instance, right now I really like apples in my kitchen but I KNOW in a year or so I will want a change. If I got a huge apple backsplash I would be stuck with apples for a LONG, LONG time!
