What do you think?? Opening mail, clearly not intended for you?
Today, a gal called me from West Chester, Pa. to tell me she received mail for an individual who does not live at her number apt. She opened it, to get my number and call me!! Then, she said this is the 2nd piece of mail, the STD being the first. Then, she said she would take it to the leasing office to see if they knew the person!! I'm sitting here thinking about this, and wondering why she didn't take both pieces of mail, not addressed to her, to the leasing office, so they could direct to proper apt. or mail back to us!!!! Well, at least I know and left a message for Deb that her friend's address is incorrect. Mary MOB

why wouldn't she just mark it return to sender? Then Deb would know the address is wrong. I think opening it up was very inappropriate

Guess she couldn't call me or Deb about the STD. All we put into that one is the magnet, and the cards for the hotel web sites, and Debi's website. What a waste of postage, and you know how much that costs these days!! Mary MOB

In your letter openers defense, I know that when I'm a hurry I grab the mail and just open the envelopes without flipping them over to see who they are from. I have opened mail that was accidently put in my mailbox before and brought it to my neighbor with an explanation.

Carol, you're so right!! I've done it already too! Perhaps this gal was so overcome at receiving a pretty orange shower envelope, she excitedly, thought, 'Wow!!!'. And opened without thinking. Mary MOB
