im not sure what a chuppah consists of so i woudl say 1200'ish without it.

if you are looking to cut costs i would check out burtons

Re: What do you think this will cost?

Jackie, are you using Burtons? If so, what did they quote you and for what things? Thanks

Re: What do you think this will cost?

i am not using them but i did get a quote from them....if i remember correctly it was 840'ish for the following:

bridal bo-k
8 BM bo-k's
2 ceremony arrangements
4 bouts
2 mother corsages
4 other corsages (grandma's/godmothers)
petal cones
flower girl basket and flowers

i didnt get CP's though. many girls use them on here and love them, they do a good job at keeping your cost down.

ps. they also sell wedding dresses and BM dresses for cheaper than other stores

ETA i think that included a delivery fee as well

I would agree with Jackie and danielle - somewhere under $1500 for sure. Low centerpieces range from $75 - $100. Bridal bo-k anywhere from $150 - $300. Bridesmaid, i think I am paying $150 each. So that should give you a good idea.

Pam - how is the venue hunt going??

Great! We think we're going to be having it at Palmer Vineyards, but we're going to look in 3 weeks. I've been there but my fiance hasnt. We met with a perspective caterer yesterday for 3 HOURS who we loved. The price pp is a little more than we were hoping for but I think our expectations werent realistic for kosher, which automatically makes the price go up (kosher meat is more expensive) and for the type of menu we want.

I am going to Flower Barn next tuesday, I can give you a quote then, sry. Flowers should be under $1500, anything more than that i think is too expensive...

aw i'm glad you found a caterer you love! I agree it should be under 1500... try Flower Barn in Seaford, they gave me a great price and they were a pleasure to work with.

Re: What do you think this will cost?

I really dont know how girls are getting such low prices...the quotes I have received are much higher. I've only gone to two places...so here are my estimates. I really think it depends on what you are looking for. I've had friends that told me they got great prices...and then I saw their CP...and 90% of it was leaves and babies breath. I am asking for my pieces to be all flowers and no 'filler'

Brides bouquet - $175

throwaway bouquet--no charge

1 MOH and 5 bridesmaids - $90 each

Flowergirl - small natural grapevine basket filled with flowers to match the bridesmaids $35 -$45

6 groomsman and 1 ring bearer -- $8-$10 each

Bride & Groom's mother - a nosegay of blooms in cream and white $25-$35 ea

3 Grandmothers - corsage of three ivory garden roses $16-$20 ea

church flowers - $125 ea - $250

centerpieces - low in rustic baskets -- $85 -$140

cake flowers - $75-$100

escort table - large basket to match table pieces $125 -$250

flowers for ladies room - a piece to match table pieces no charge

$140 for low centerpieces is way too much. I have 3 diff types of roses, hydrandras, lilies, and orchids. No fillers and I am paying $85 for low, $160 (i think) for high. Also, I would see if you can get the cake flowers included, everywhere I went included it.

What kind of flowers are you getting for the church? That seems high too.

Some of those prices are a little high.

Our corsages are 25.00/ea
boutonnieres are 8.00/ea.

church flowers are 140.00 plus ribbons for the pews.

I am not paying for cake deco or escort table deco or our sweetheart table

I am paying more my bok (225.00)

My BP boks are 100/ea.

My CPs are high and 165/ea... these are my flowers: (11) Raised on wrought iron stand of cherry blossoms, curly willow, large white calla lilies, dark blue delphinium, white hydrangea, hot pink and light pink roses and lavender wax flower with rose petals and votive candles.

my mom told me the quote was ok...i havent booked anything yet...so feel free to tell me it's insane : )

I would suggest shopping around. I just think that price for a low cp is way too high.
