I think I intially said about $50k but as time went by (which is only a week that has passed) it now looking more like early $60'sk. Which is sad.. I never thought that I/we would spend so much... but every thought/idea is followed by a depsit for a down payment!

My FH sister was married at Fox Hollow last July.....her father kept a log of how much the wedding was costing.............he stopped counting at $75,000!!! He said at that point he didn't even want to know.

But the bride & groom got over $42K in cash for their wedding alone. They're using it as a down pymt for a house when they decide to buy

Sitting here and reading all the numbers, I am like OMG-isn't this CRAZY!!! SOOO much money for a four hour event. I thought and thought about eloping, destination, court....but couldn't do it. I definitely think I would have regretted it in the furure. I am trying to stay under 15,000. but most likely will be close to 20,00 when all is said and done. Good luck ladies!!!

Wow! I would have had a much smaller wedding and taken the money from her father for a house!

i did a quick budget and came up with about $46,000 including honeymoon - but that doesn't count some help from our families - it will still end up costing us about $40,000

i never thought i would spend so much - but i really want it to be nice - closer to the wedding i will probably cut out extras ( like the after hours etc.)

With the honeymoon,,,,,I praying to stay under $60,000.

I've been waiting for this day for all of my life,,,but it makes me sick to spend that kind of money when I don't even own a home yet!!! I dont think I'll ever be able to afford one!! I think that I might just get married in Vegas when I go in August!!! LOL

maximum is 20K but right now with actual and projected costs we're at 14K with HM but not including the e-ring or the wedding bands (including all those it would be more like 21K right now)
