so while i was showering this am, i realized that my shower could use a serious scrub down. problem is, I never know which cleaning products to use!
what do you use to clean floors, glass, soap scum, mildew, appliances etc?

Re: what do you use?
i just got those new scrubbing bubbles pad thingys and they are awesome. I have a neo-angle shower so its all glass and its a pita to keep clean. These things get al the soap scum spots. It gets the tile mildew crap too. I have porcelain tile and its safe for it.
Other than that- i use clorox clean upon everything.
but i say since you are moving soon you shold just stop cleaning

For the tub - i've gotta say - i've gone back to what mama always used growing up. good ol green cheap comet! i find it works a lot better then the spray ons. yes, elbow grease is required sometimes as you have to get down and scrub it...but it works. I have been meaning to get one of those 'in between' shower sprays to help the cause also. never lived with boys before - ugggg! they're dirty! :)
other stuff - i comet the sink and then swifter the floor. once a month i do a good old hands and knees scrub of the floor.
here's my thing with swifter - i THINK our apartment has lenolium in the kitchen - after a year of swiftering i was like 'there is no way this is the color of our floor' well. i got out a bottle of 409 spray and sprayed it right on the floor planning to see if it picked anything up...well - sure enough! it was like i hadn't washed the floor for a year!!! ICK so - i'm not sure how i'm cleaning my floors moving forward....also - any recommendations for hardwood? I've been using swifter but now i'm scared is it really cleaning?
I either use murphy's oil soap and water (you only need a little of the murphys) and a regular old mop (the stringy kind) or a shark steamer thing I bought. It's a mop that you push back and forth which creates steam and cleans the floor, no chemicals needed. Next time I use it, I think I will put a little something on the pad - it cleans well, but I think I could get it cleaner.
ohhhh - steamer! thats an idea! :) :) I'll have to look into that
