When you were a kid, what did you dream of being when you grew up?

Me too!!! Then I was informed by a friend that I couldn't carry a tune! I still love B'way and I love to sing...just in the car or in the shower. I love theatre, but I was never interested in the acting without the singing, even though I took drama classes when I was younger.
When I was REALLY little, I used to go to this shoe store where they had a foot pump to pump the balloons for the kids. I told my parents I wanted to grow up and pump the balloons! I think they're happy I decided to get my doctorate in child psych instead!

i wanted to be a singer, actress, architect, teacher, or someone who had their own cash register. i'm a teacher, so something happened that way i wanted it to be!
