its because of the movie Jaws.

and i will name whatever kid comes out first brody. boy or girl. DESPITE brody jenner's lame exisistance.

That's the same reason my friend named her dog Brody...I love the name but her dog is an assshole so I could never name a kid that

we met where the movie Jaws was filmed and its both of our fav movie.

I'm amazed at how many Giovanna and Gianna's I'm seeing! I love Gianna and thought it was pretty uncommon! I wonder if this is an odd coincidence or if it's becoming more common?

Gianna has become very popular the past few years. I love that name too, but since I was a little girl wanted to name my Giovanna after my great-grandmother.

Gianna is soo cute too. I don't really hear Giovanna, but maybe that's getting popular too.

REALLY?? How cool! Not common names either. My great-grandmother's name was Giovanna and I loveee it. FH picked Layla and I think it's sooo cute.

I've had Layla on my list since I'm like 4. I don't know why just love it! I always make my stepfather (who is a musician) sing Eric Clapton's 'Layla' and envision him singing it to her some day!

Second - you prob won't even believe me bc I didn't bother to say it before but yes - I want to spell it Laila too. I was originally Layla and then years back one of my fave turkish restaurants was spelled 'Laila' so I repositioned

I believe you. Too funny! I don't know why I spelled it Layla up there. I read a book A Thousand Splendid Suns, and the character's name was Laila and I thought it looked so pretty that way!

My aunt was going to name my cousin Giovanna and then on the day she was born there were 3 other girls named Giovanna in the nursery, so she switched it to Gianna and wouldn't you know it that the next day there were 2 other girls with the name Gianna. They're becoming pretty popular names - but I still love both of them!
