Swags said something in a post that made me think of this. I think she said she called her grandfather Beepa. How cute!
My grandparents were just grandma & grandpa. FH calls his one grandma Mimmie and the other one is Nana. Nana's husband (FH's step-grandfather) is called Hoot.
One of my friends calls her grandfather Big Ba-Ba!
My niece and nephews call my parents Granny & Pop.

I called my Grandfather (mother's side) Beepa and sometimes Grampy (he was so cute and I miss him everyday and my Grandmother Meema or zadie (sp?)
My father's parent are just Grandma and Grandpa.

I called everyone grandma and grandpa, except for my dad's mother. I called her Grandma Geeky, although I have no idea why I started it or what it actually meant, because I know I didn't mean to call her a geek, lol.

All I have is my Nana (my other grandparents passed away before I was born).
Here she is walking me down the aisle... we are VERY close, she's like a mother to me. And she just celebrated her 90th birthday!!
I love my Nana!!!

I call them abuela and abuelo (which is grandma and grandpa in Spanish)
We called our Mom's Mother G-Ma and our Dad's Mother, Grams

I never met either of my grandfathers, and I never met mothers mother. I did know my fathers mother. She passed away in 1990. She was mean to both my father when he was younger, and to my sister and I when we were younger too. We used to call her grooma-kins. I know it wasnt nice, but she wasnt a very nice lady either. I am so jealous of all you people that had great relationships with your grandparents or still do have great relationships with them. I never had that. My mother and my father make excellent grand parents to my nieces and nephews though. My sister's son's call them Bubba and Poppa, and my Brothers Daughter calls them Boobie, and Poppie.

Mom's mother is Grandma, Grams or Betty Loo
Mom's mother late husband I called Poppy
Mom's father I call him Ben. She calls him the Sperm Doner.
Great Grandparents (mom's side) Her mothers mom I called Nonna
Sperm Doners parents I called them Great Grandma (last name) and Great Grandpa (last name)

I never knew my maternal grandfather (he died when my mom was 8). My paternal grandfather was Grandpa or Papa (died in 1984) Paternal grandmother (died in 1994) was Grandma Millie (first name) and maternal grandmother was Grandma Ginny until Grandma Millie died and now Grandma Ginny is just Grandma.

I call my moms mom (the grandmother that I was always closest to)...GRAM
My other grandmother is just plain grandma.
I never had the chance to meet either grandfather so Im not so sure what I would have called them.
But I want my kids to call my dad Pop or Pops..I just love that!

My only living grandparent (my father's mom) is Nanny. She is turning 75 next month.. I just love that woman! I am the oldest of 11 grandchildren so I guess I came up with that name. My father's dad was Pop-Pop. He died when I was in 8th grade. I miss him!!
My mom's mom died when I was in college..she was Grandma. She could play 500 rummy like you wouldn't believe! I miss my grandma!
My mom's dad died when she was 9. I wish I was able to meet him.

My mother's parents were Papa & Nana. My father's mother is Mamalee and we just called her husband by his name. My mother is 'Grammy' to the doggies!!
I called my great grandmother Funny Nana (although I am told she was not a funny sort at all - more of a grump) and my great grandfather Poppy.

i used nana and papa for both sets of grandparents. now my parents are nana and papa to my niece and nephews. and that's what i want to be if i ever have grandchildren.
