Lance & I were just feeling very about how much wedding things cost Wedding rings are next, and we don't have any idea what the avg costs are for them! I know it depends on what you get, but what's average?

It really depends what you are looking for. We got our rings from Zales. I was very lucky because I originally was looking towards a custom ring form myself because my E-ring unique but we got really lucky ad one day while just looking I saw a band on clearance that mach y ring - aans was only $200.00. FH's ring came up to $559.00

there's no average....
a plain gold band is not only very traditional, but also budget friendly.... will cost about $200-$600, depending upon the thickness. A plain platinum band will cost between $500 (for a very thin one) to about $1500 for a thick one.
Diamonds, if tiny, don't really add to the price, but if larger and more numerous, can easily bring a band into the $1k to $3k range......
I will comment on one thing.... the favors and flowers will be a dim memory 10 years from now, but your rings are with you EVERY day. Make sure you love them. It's better to cut budget costs elsewhere (more modest DJ, limo, or flower package) and get exactly the bands you want
we got matching platinum bands (mine with a microdiamond, his -plain) at tiffany's. LOVE THEM!

We didn't spend much on them. His was 150 after engraving (titanium). Mine was 300 (white gold with small stones going around).

our were about $250 for him (he likes the plainest of plain) and about $2500 for mine--- go to places like the diamond district in manhattan or that diamond district-like place in new jersey---their prices are awesome and the quality of the diamonds are top shelf!

You can easily get very nice ones for under $600. Mine is white gold with diamonds going half way around the band. It cost us $300. FH's ring is plain white gold with miligrain beading going around the edges. His was something like $280.

Mine was $1400. FH was $300. - He is simple, he just got a white gold plain band. Mine is a 1k prong setting line of diamonds. I love it!

We're both getting platinum, so it's going to be a bit. I'm trying to decide if I want a plain rounded band (~$450) , or a band with a squared-off edge. The squared-off one is thicker and more expensive (~$750). My FH is Jewish and doesn't think that wedding bands should have gems, so I'm going with a plain band.
My FH is is getting a platinum ring with a titanium inlay. We both really like it, it's two toned and somehow quite masculine. I think it's about $800 because he has big hands and needs a big size and a wide ring so it doesn't look silly and delicate.
If you needed to cut costs, you could always get a something small and simple now, and then in a year or two, or three, whenever you could get something more to your liking with diamonds or whatever you want.
It also depends on whether or not you plan on wearing your weddng ring all the time. I hope you find something beautiful GOOD LUCK!

Depends on what you are looking for...always things within your price range. We happened to get a good deal because FH's sister works at a jewelry store.

We got matching claddagh rings from titanium era for $125. They were the very first things we bought, and I can't wait until they're on our grubby mitts! (Note- the website has said the 'sale' is ending since we bought them last September, and they now have one that looks a bit more traditional.)

We spent almost $5,000 total on our wedding rings. We got matching platinum comfort fit bands (4mm for me, 5mm for FH). I also got a channel set eternity band set in platinum.
Had we not gotten the diamond band and gone with gold or a less expensive metal, we probably could have spent under $1,000 for both. My e-ring is set in platinum, though, and it was important to us to have matching rings, so platinum was a must for us.
At the end of the day, wedding rings and each other are what we walk away with -- so we didn't cut the budget back here. (Though the diamond band was a definite splurge - I know I'll have it and the platinum band forever)

I just ordered my wedding band and for about 1ct. of channel set diamonds (3/4 the way around) and platinum, it cost $1700.
FH's wedding band is what is crazy! He wants platinum b/c he is into jewelry with about 4 diamonds which costs $2500! I thought mine was going to cost about that much but I really lucked out.
I don't care what the cost is, I just want FH to be happy with his selection as he will be wearing this for hte rest of his life.
