What Does Everyone Think??

My husband and I feel like we've been given a very nice deal on a bedroom set .. Queen bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, mirror and chest .. all for less than $2,500 including taxes and delivery.

Here's the set by Broyhill .. we have couches from Broyhill that we absolutely love.

(Obviously, this photo does not show all the pieces we would get).

Looks very nice! Only thing I have to say is does your current bed have a footboard? What I'm getting at is that my FH is 6'2' and he doesn't like footboards because his feet touch it. But if your FH isn't that tall or he likes footboards, go for it!

Very nice set....classic looking. I second the concern over the footboard. I was surprised to find out both the queen and the king are the same length too. Definitely a great price.

beautiful set -- and sounds like a good deal--- we have an armoire from Broyhill and it cost over 900.00 just for that !

Rte 110 Home Furnishing Galleries is where we got this great deal .. Ed is the salesperson we are working with .. he's been great.

They also have lots of other bedroom sets at what seemed to me to be very good prices, too. (And they do have other furniture too).

Sale ends Columbus Day.

And to those who cautioned about the footboard ... thanks for the thought .. hubby is tall .. but luckily he's used to a footboard .. and said it doesn't bother him!

I think the set is beautiful for a formal bedroom.

I will warn you thought that I have a sleigh bed and it
a) Is very annoying to sleep in since im constantly banging my feet on the end and im only 5'8' and
b) The closed in bed makes our room look much smaller. When i bought the bed, it didnt really occur to me but i wish i had gotten an opened end bed now (but i have a small bedroom) and
c) Unless you have a chair or a bench in your bedroom, capping teh end of the bed with a footboard takes away valuable sitting space. So when i put pantyhose on, i have to go round to the side. Not a big deal but i liked doing it at the end of the bed for whatever reason.

Kel!!! That is the EXACT same set DH and I picked out last winter! We've been waiting to actually purchase - getting settled in the house and all...

First, we're already used to having a footboard on the bed .. we've always had one. Second, if the bed makes the room look a little smaller, that's okay, because our room is pretty long. We live in an expanded cape, and our bedroom extends from the front wall of the house to the back wall of the house. The bed is going to fit in the 'doghouse' that sticks up from the ceiling/roof (hope that makes sense). Finally, since we're already used to a bed with a footboard, I'm used to sitting on the side of the bed for whatever .. but I was thinking about eventually getting a chair and/or chaise for the opposite end of the room for a sitting area by the window. .. Thanks for the thoughts .. I do appreciate it.

I totally understand about the house thing .. we've been in our house for nearly four years and we're only now getting around to bedroom furniture!! And to be honest, we weren't even shopping around, I just saw the sale circular that came, I guess with the mail, and thought it was probably worth checking out - they had several sleighbed sets shown. Now, I'm glad we went!
