Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away .....

When I was with my first husband.. we used to do Civil War re-enacting. He was a Sgt in the 7th VA Cavalry (Longstreet's Brigade). For any of you who know - this is pretty much a family oriented thing much like the SCA (who do Ren-Faires & etc). So in order for me to play, we had to think up a persona for me.

I chose Belle Boyd, who was a female spy for
the Confederate States. She later moved to London and became an actress. I was impressed by the intestinal fortitude it would have taken a woman to be a spy in the 1860's and so the name has stuck with me. However, I got rid of the husband about 7 years ago.
