I'm not sure how to interpret this or what the connotation is.

thanks

ETA: My Fh used to call his mom unassuming' as if ti were a positive reassuring thing. For sone reason I just remembered that, and I realized at this point I don't really know what he meant by it. At the time from his context I took it to mean 'nonjudgemental' but that's clearly not true, and I realized I don't know the real connotation of that..or was he totally making it up? LOL

I think it is a positive thing....its one of those things that you know what it is but its hard to put into words BUT here goes...

I think it means that the person has a lot going for them maybe they are well off or they have a very powerful job but they dont flaunt it around....maybe modest is a good synonym???

Modest is a perfect description- also means humble, not bold or forward.

I thought it meant 'blends into the background' kind of person

not fussy, not attention-grabbing

Unassuming - when I think of unassuming people, I think of those who stay in the background, aren't forward and don't get into my business!

Definitely a good thing!
