I may have to get a job in retail temporarily (and then maybe as additional income) since I'm having a hard time finding a job here. I was just wondering what stores paid these days, and if anyone knew the better paying stores. (LLBean is advertising $10+ change an hour). It's been about 7 years since i've worked retail.

I work in a mall....so far, Im hearing between $7-$10hr. Sephora starts at $10 Bath and Body, VS-$7-$8 Department stores $7-$8, Macys, Bloomingdales.

Home Depot starts pretty good I think...and plus I would rather work in a place where I don't want to buy anything. I used to work in a clothing store and almost all of my paycheck went back to the store!!

lol thanks... unfortunately all the places I worked at in the mall are closed now (or boss sold to corporate) so they can't check my retail references. I'll let you know if I end up needing one.

supposedly home depot and bjs starts off good. everything else is about $7
eta: also depends where you are. i got $8.25 or 8.75 at H&M in Soho. I get $12 off the books now. so thats like $16 on the books

I work at Fortunoff and they start at $10.50 + medical benefits for PT. They're pretty flexible with hours and the discount is helpful when your planning a wedding! LOL!!!! FM me if you'd like more info!
