What does the Day of Coordinator do?

What does the Day of Coordinator do?

For those who are using a DOC, who did you pick and how much do they run? I'm toying with the idea, but I'm not even sure what they would do that day to help me out.

I believe they help set out your menus, set out things for your tables/cake table, give out tip envelopes, help run along your timeline, make sure your photographer does the must take list, makes sure vendors show up, etc.
