Ok so here are the two dresses that my mom is considering.
The first one is your traditional MOB dress... I consider it the 'safe choice'. She tried it on and it is flattering and nice. I think its an elegant dress. She would order this dress in the color bone. Im wearing ivory. Is bone too close to the color of my dress???
The 2nd dress is gorgeous. She would order it in the black and olive green. It is a wow dress. She tried it on and it looked great.
My mom is concerned because she is a plus size woman and she doesn't want to wear anything inappropriate. I think she looked great in both dresses....and deep down i think my mom really wants the 2nd dress because it a little more special but she is concerned that it might be a little much for a wedding at the George Washington Manor. So any opinions or feedback would be great!
the second one is so elegant. Are you having a night wedding?

I like the second dress. The first dress is nice but the second dress is more special. if your mom looks great in both, then I would go with the second one. It's her day to shine, too. The second dress is very elegant and doesn't look inappropriate at all. Also, I think bone may be too close to ivory.

I love the second one. It is beautiful. I am not crazy about the jacket with the first dress. Is it day or night wedding? Number 2 is better for evenings.

She should definitely go with the second one. She seems to like it better and she should feel very special. After you, she's the most important woman of the day. My mom has been struggling to find a dress and my wedding is only 2 months away! She just found two that she really likes last week and plans on buying one of them after she gets my opinion.

i say go with the 2nd one - it is gorgeous and it will make her feel more special. and as for day or evening...she's the MOTHER OF THE BRIDE!! she can wear whatever she wants, no matter what time of day it is! I had a day wedding and my mother wore a ball gown and looked fabulous and appropriate!
