I call my father Chef-BoyaBROKE....he will eat something at someone's house or at a restaurant and then have to come home and try to make his own version of it...then we have to suffer through eating it 4 weeks in a row until he thinks he gets it right....

My mother says I cant dress, and is always buying me clothes she found on sale, and its always 6 sizes way too big for me to wear...she'll buy me a shirt with a hideous pattern on it and then tell me I dont have any style when I refuse to wear it....

my mom has a bad sense of style ..a few years ago for xmas she bought me a suede outfit.. pants and zip up jacket with shoulder pads!!! it was HIDEOUS!!!!

i have to say - my mom dresses like an old lady but when it comes to me? she will buy me the hottest clothes! it is so funny - i will buy something to wear to an event . . and she will hate it. . .then like two days later my mom will show up with something SO CUTE that fits me perfectly and i will always like what SHE picks better!!

My mom thinks people care that really don't. One time we were in Victoria Secret buying my brothers girlfriend at the time a gift certificate. And you know they have those cute toys if you spend over a certain amount? Well my mom wanted to get her one of them too, but it clearly stated ONLY IF YOU BUY MERCHANDISE, not a gift certificate. So she yelled at one of the sales associates for a half an hour about it. When meanwhile, they don't care if you'll never shop there again, they don't own the store.

And my dad, well doesn't talk at all. Reason being... see above.

My mom gives a resume of all of the great things I've done from age 3 on everytime we meet new people. Like they care about how old I was when I learned the pledge of allegiance!!

FMIL does that!

my mom started to lose her hearing and refuses to wear the hearing aids she bought saying she cant take the beeping sound they make...... so instead of changing the battery she walks around while everyone is yelling to her. So basically you could say anything and she'd nod at you.

dad: has a super bad temper

mom: dresses like an old gieser! lol

OMG!!! These are all wayy too funny!!! Good thread!!!!

So lets see... my mom still talks like a baby to me (not out in public, but everytime she comes home its like 'ohhhh my lil gigi girl!!!' in this baby voice... it drives me nuts... I keep telling her that im movin out sooner if she keeps it up And then I get the puppy dog face from her!!
- She also will not buy new clothes for herself!!! So she wears stuff that was like early 90's... (I think we got rid of all her 80's stuff finally hahah)
- Also has zero taste and I swear, wears less clothes than I do (she thinks shes 20 again I dunno... I can only imagine what she thinks shes gonna wear as a MOB dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

Now for dad.... You cannot be in the car when this man when hes driving because hes cursing at everyone, has extreme road rage, and has thrown things (like soda bottles) out his window at people in another car on the highway! Its realllllly bad!!!

My dad is the most embarrassing person EVER! He ALWAYS swears at everything! When I was little my dad always said god da**it brandi and Jesus chr*st joey (my brother) so after a while my uncles(my dads brothers) acually called us by those names.......Oh and my neighbors calls my dad 'F*CKING EDDIE' because when he is outside working on the cars or doing lawn work he always say the F word......hes crazy

My mom is awsome but the one thing that is embarrassing about her is when her cell phone rings she looks at the caller ID for ever and lets her phone ring..........its like god woman just answer you phone!!!!!!!!!!

Well my mom reads these boards so I can't say anything bad about her! lol...

No but really, me and her are exactly alike, so there really isn't anything about her that embarrasses me!

My dad though, the only thing is that he has this addiction to herbal supplements and natural products, which is fine, only that I'm a soon to be pharmacist and he disagrees with everything I believe in and vice versa. Basically we can't talk about any prescrption drugs or health matters because we will end up disagreeing on something!

Other than that, I have great parents! I think I have a great relationship with both of them, and I wouldn't change anything!

OMG that is my dad!!!

He always does that, he argues with these 19 year old kids that work at these chains, about chaining policy or he will stop shopping there.. i try to tell him that they don't care if he ever came there again. they are getting paid like$6 and hour and could care less who shops there or not!

Oh and he always tries to get things for free, everytime im out with him and he goes to buy seomthing and there is no price on it he has to say 'No price on it, I guess its free' def embarrassing

my mom can get really drunk and embarassing. her favorite thing to do sometimes is make jokes about me! or my ex bfs in front of fh, and everyone else. also she's extremely clumsy when drunk, so no drinking for her at my wedding! (she fell twice at floral park terrace for my cousins wedding in december) then whined how it's their fault lol.

my dad loves to call me paris hilton, and goes on & on about the expensive purses I own. or all the clothes I have. he does this to complete strangers he talks to! like they care if I have a chanel bag lol. he's another one who gets really drunk and embarassing.

my last birthday he thought it'd be funny to put sparklers on my bday cake and practically shove it in my face! I have millions of pictures of me guarding my face from the sparks that everyone took! so embarassing.

other then this my parents are def young parents. everyone loves them. I hate when my dad blasts pink floyd all night though while I have people over. we now all hate that damn band. (me & my friends) it's like does he really need to blast it?
