I'm Middle-Eastern, FI is Italian-American

Our ceremony is at my parish, and the mass will be in Arabic & English

As far as the reception, we'll play the tarantella (FI), and the debke (me)...both are circular dances...

ETA: we're also having a belly dancer

My DH and his groomsmen wore Barongs, a traditional Filipino shirt worn at weddings and other fancy events.

FH is Jewish and my family is off the boat Italian so on top of having an insane amount of food, we are doing the hora and the tarantella. I'm also having another one of my favorite Italian songs played (Ti Amo) and we're giving confetti (jordan almonds) as part of the favor.

Holy crappola! I thought I was the only filipina on here! Yay us!!! No barongs for us though, my FH is italian-american (he calls it the paper shirt, LOL!) But we are doing the traditional veil and cord ceremony where we kneel before the Priest and he binds us together with a veil and cord to show we are one (FYI for those of you non-filipinos).

I am Ukrainian so we are getting married in a Ukrainian Catholic church. We will be wearing traditional crowns during a portion of the ceremony and we will be leaving a small communion size BoK at the alter to remember the Virgin Mary. The crowns are similar to that of the Greek tradition.

All the typical (and old school traditional) Jewish stuff:

Yarmulkes
Ketubah
Bedeken/Veiling (private in Rabbi's Office - not in front of everyone)
Chuppah
7 Circles
7 Marriage blessings
Stepping on Glass
Yichud (privacy after ceremony)

Reception:

HORA BABY!!!
GET ME UP IN THE CHAIR.

We also want a violin as part of of our band/orchestra. It is so AWESOME to have a violin play the ethnic songs at a Jewish wedding - makes things sound very authentic.

We are having Polish (me) and Greek (FH) wedding...

We are having a Greek Orthodox wedding (church) in English and some Greek and then I will have my priest do the blessing in Polish (Catholic)...

I am having few Polish traditions at the reception and some Greek...there will be a money dance (polish tradition) and of course Greek dancing (Zorbas and others)...

It will be similar to the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding...lol...where there will be 400 Greeks and 25 Polish....lol... and lots of plate breaking!!!!
