Do you practice the ceremony only?

Should you practice the toasts, first dance, etc. as well?

Clueless once again.

The rehearsal is for the ceremony - walk through w/the officiant.

The dinner is optional, and that is a way to thank all those involved.

you don't rehears anything at the rehearsal dinner.

the rehearsal is usually done at the ceremony location. you rehears the ceremony. who will stand where, who will read what, who will say what. yada yada

the dinner is afterward. it's 'usually' a party hosted by the groom's parents. this is where you give your bp their gifts. you can also present your parents with gifts at this point. there are usually toasts made.

btw, this is a party for the bp, and close family. some people invite their oot guests if they've already traveled to your location.
