I think that it's when a specific designer showcases its new gowns but I guess what I really mean is what does a trunk show mean in terms of pricing?? Is it just like 10-15% off?
I'm in love with Monique Lhuillier dresses but they probably average like $5000+. I'm thinking then that I should look out for sample sales that carry ML rather than a ML trunk show if I want a real discount. Right?

I always thought it was like a sample sale.

If you buy any of their gowns that day... you get 10-15% off... thats all it is... they show off new styles and the designer may or may not be there

no you get a brand new dress made for you when you buy at a trunk show, its not a sample. Its like any day you would buy your dress except the designer is there and you get 10-15% off.

You generally get 10-15% off and some include any changes that need to be made to the dress. Maybe you want a sweetheart neckline instead of it being straight. Or you want the waist line dropped. It is definitely better to buy during a trunk show.
