What expenses in addition to down pmt , closing costs etc came with buying your house?
DH and I are just starting the process....what other expenses are there? We're clueless!

moving company
escro money for insurance and taxes ** be careful with this especially if you are a first time buyer. Ask your lender upfront what they will require. I have heard of some lenders requesting up to one year of taxes and insurance premium held in escro.

We just went to contract on our house and had to give them alot of money! I know sometimes I feel liek we are in over our head but we have done the ###s so many times that I feel comfortable knowing what we can afford and that we arent strapping ourselves. When ever I freak out, I look at that spread sheet and feel alittle better!

Can you believe it!!!!!!!! It wasn't much but it irked me so much that i still remeber it. The water company told me there was a one time transfer fee of like $35. Biggest BS I had EVER heard!!!!!!!!!!!!!
