He wants to wear a lighter suit, cause he feels he's celebrating that day, and black is just too dark. I LOVE this suit, I'm just not sure it would go with my dress. My dress is white. What do you think?? I think it's sharp, and would look really good on him. I hate bow ties, so a tie would be what they'd wear anyway. Opinions? BM dresses would be something in chocolate brown, so it might go with theirs. Hoping to have that finished by tomorrow when I take my sisters to David's to try on some gowns and see what flatters, but the color would be brown, hopefully, with a rust colored sash.

Oooh...I love it!! I brought up this idea to my sister...only I said Tan Suits..and she said that she didn't think it was formal enough for a church wedding. I didn't know you could get tan tuxes...I'll have to run it by FH

I have to agree!
Steve wanted to wear a khaki suit also... but my parents and I convinced him not to! I just feel that when I look back at my wedding pictures, I will be happy with something more traditional.
we compromised though. instead of a tux, he'll be wearing a nice black suit that we'll buy.... something definitely classy and dressy looking!

You're so funny! Why would I be offended???? That's silly!!! I asked for your opinions!! I have to admit, I agree the black looks more elegant, and would compliment my dress more. I LOVE this suit, but perhaps it would be better in black. I love the vest, tie thing though! maybe I'll go with him and have him try some on and see what looks best. Then again, that might be dangerous since we're waiting til marriage!!

Well if you look in my album, you will see the tux/suit we are using. We are having a beach wedding, and even though it's in the evening, the tan suit fits with our whole theme. My FH is not the black tux type and I didn't want him to wear something he was uncomfortable in. It's his wedding as much as it's mine. The suits we chose happen to complement my dress and BM dresses. It's up to you. It depends on what look you are going for. I don't think that b/c me FH will be wearing a tan suit my wedding will not be elegant- black tuxes aren't us.

we're also having a beach wedding. i'm sorry, and I didn't mean for what i said to imply that khaki isn't elegant. My parents and I just felt that the 'traditional' route was more appropriate for us. I'm sure your FH will look great and elegant in khaki!

I do agree that if it goes with your theme it should be fine. I am partial to black suits, but I also believe you should do what makes you happy.

Sorry..I didnt mean that if you dont have black suits your wedding will not be elegant. Just in my opinion I think black is more elegant..just my opinion. But you are having a beach wedding...which I think changes everything...I think for a beach wedding a nice beige or tan tux/suit will go great! But for a church type wedding...I personally dont think it will go. JMO

I personally LOVE it. I want my FH to wear tan. I don't think it clashes with the brides gown at all. It's def more casual but if that's what you want - go for it!!!

I do love the suit, but Im a bit biased I think that groom should wear black b/c it just makes them look so much more elegant and more groom-ish. But it would match your dress and it will look great together

I think that for my theme (and you can tell from the pictures of my cake, decorations, etc. in my album) the tan suits bring everything together. We are not getting married in a church, it will be on the beach. For us, it's the right choice. Not everyone wants their FH to wear a tan suit, but I do. And our day will be perfect for us. It depends on the couple. Remember kittythestray's wedding? It doesn't mean that tuxes are better than tan suits, or vice versa, it's a personal preference. I just think we shouldn't bash another brides choice b/c it's not what you would've picked. Because there are girls on here that have made that choice, and might be hurt to read certain comments. I don't care either way, I'm happy with what I picked and it's okay that not everyone likes that.

No No No...I am not bashing..believe me. I am the last person to do that. I was just giving an honest opinion (which was what was asked)...I actually did just check out ur album and the tan suits are going to look great...but I am just saying, in a different situation I wouldnt be a fan. But I am def. not bashing.........

I think the suit looks wonderful! I think it will go great with your white dress but if you are worried that it's too tan against your dress, you could always have your FH wear an ivory vest and have the GM in the tan vest in the picture. That way, he gets to wear his tan suit but it ties in better with your white dress. Just another option for you.
