I dont eat fish so it was hard to choose. I hope I chose something people eat. I thought it sounded good thats why i picked it. We went with:
Mahi Mahi in a citrus sauce with sliced bananas and macadamium nuts.
Do you think that was a bad choice? Should I have gone with the swordfish instead or the salmon? What did some of you go with for the fish?? Thanks!!

We had a macadamia crusted Tilapia. I had it at our tasting and i thought it was really good, and i'm not a big fish person.

Mahi Mahi is a delish fish I know I like it, most choices i've seen on menus are salmon, st. peter's fish and chilian sea bass or lobster so I say good choice I've never been offered Mahi Mahi at a wedding, maybe it's just me!

I don't fish, either, Stephanie!
FH and his whole family love it, so I made him choose LOL! He picked the salmon dish and it comes in a cream dill sauce or something. He actually ate this at the food tasting and loved it, so I guess it will work. If the guests don't know about the sauce they can prob ask for it on the side.
I think your dish sounds good - it sounds very tropical LOL!

MIne are carrots and broccoli, (cooked well) I specified i did not want raw vegetables. LOL
and a twice baked potato!! Yummy!

we don't have the option of 'choosing' a menu really except for app salad and dessert - everyone gets 7 choices and they are all available to every guest, which I like. for fish though i do think we get to choose between salmon and tilapia oreganata, and I think we are going with the tilapia, as it's a white fish and more people will like it I think. and i looooove tilapia!

Don't worry...Mahi Mahi is a delicious fish and if a guest doesn't like it you have two other dinner choices for them. We went with chilean sea bass and a stuffed jumbo shrip scampi as two of our entrees and decided not to do the salmon.

Ditto. I think salmon on a menu is one of those vicious cycles......you see it most often because most people choose it because they see it most often and on and on, but really, there are soooooo much better fish options out there that are mild tasting that everyone would really like if they just jumped outside their salmon comfort zone for a minute.
That mahi dish sounds DELICIOUS!!!!

We're having string beans almondine and a 'duchess potato' but it's sort of like a twice baked potato and it's SO good! I had chicken francaise and these same sides when we went for the food tasting and I cannot get the food out of my head! It is STILL the best chicken francaise I have ever had! And that potato was to die for!!!

We had a salmon entree and a shrimp entree on our menu. We didn't get a choice, our hall just gives guests the option of all 7 entree choices.
