what flavor cake are you having? New string! we are torn between red velvet and white cake w/rasberry and chocolate w/ espresso. THinking of doing a layer of each! What are you guys thinking?

NO WAY!!!!!!!!! I am having a cake made out of rainbow cookie also, but it will look like a regular chocolate wedding cake from the outside. I thought for sure it was an original! Good choice!!!
I'm just having the top layer. It's expensive to so the whole cake that way b.c its very labor intensive!
BTW Waldbaums makes a great rainbow cookie cake. FH got it for me for my bday!

We're having vanilla cake with lemon curd and strawberry filling. I love fruit desserts, and because the dessert that comes with the menu is chocolatey, we decided to go a different route. And also because the baker gave us a sample from the case and our eyes lit up.

We're getting devil's food cake with cannoli and chocolate mousse fillings. And a chocolate ganache outside with white snowflakes.

I don't know yet. The catering hall provides the cake for us-said it will be anything we want but we haven't really thought about it. I mean do preople really notice? I LOVE this cake that I get from a place some of you may know-the Butter Cooky in Long Island. I think its by Floral Park. OMG! THE CAKES!!!!! The pastries! I am not even a sweet person but you can SMELL the whippes cream its so fresh.
Anywya I really like bavarian cream fristing, strawberries and pineapple with whipped cream icing but wedding cakes usually do that fondant stuff. We will probably stick with something ebry basic.
