What flavors. . .

did you choose for your cake - that don't include chocolate or cannoli filling? We are having such a hard time agreeing on this. FH loves cannoli and I hate it. I love chocolate and he is not a fan of chocolate. (I know. . .what kind of crazy person am I marrying!) I was thinking about doing raspberry mousse with lemon, but not sure. Would love to hear what you have chosen for some inspiration.

FH doesnt like chocolate either...actually he loathes chocolate, the thought of it grosses him out .

this sounds amazing!

at first it was yellow cake with fresh strawberry filling. but FH doesn't eat strawberry's and I didn't want him having to pick things out of his own wedding cake.

so we went with red velvet with cream cheese filling

We are having cannoli but I've been to two weddings where they had

Vanilla with cookies and cream filling

Lemon with raspberry - I liked this one the best. It was a nice light cake to offset the enormous amounts of food at CH and dinner.

i'm allergic to dairy so our options were limited

vanilla buttercream (outside)

white cake
chocolate fudge (they have other fudges out there that aren't chocolate)
raspberry fruit filling

So happy to hear that you liked the lemon with raspberry - I was kind of thinking the same - it would be light after dinner. Plus I really like that combo.

Did most of you just pick flavors that you and FH liked or did you try to consider what the guests would like?
