did you choose for your cake - that don't include chocolate or cannoli filling? We are having such a hard time agreeing on this. FH loves cannoli and I hate it. I love chocolate and he is not a fan of chocolate. (I know. . .what kind of crazy person am I marrying!) I was thinking about doing raspberry mousse with lemon, but not sure. Would love to hear what you have chosen for some inspiration.
Thanks!

We did raspberry mousse and chocolate ganache. Not sure how it would go with the lemon, but the raspberry mousse is absolutely my favorite filling now. SOOOO good.

FH loves red velvet (I'm not a fan)...so to compromise I'm going to get him a groom's cake in red velvet. We are having a canoli served with the cake so we will likely have chocolate and raspberry as our fillings....YUMMMMY!

at first it was yellow cake with fresh strawberry filling. but FH doesn't eat strawberry's and I didn't want him having to pick things out of his own wedding cake.
so we went with red velvet with cream cheese filling
Swan Club does red velvet?!?! Im soooo excited! Since it is a RH cake I thought we'd just get choc or vanilla cake with choice of filling. Im excited! Lol

Re: What flavors. . .
yellow cake with strawberry preserves
&
chocolate cake with raspberry preserves (blackforest cake)
it was tasty and light, considering we had cookies on the table, and an entire ROOM filled with sweet treats from VH. You don't want something that's too filling, especially if you have VH

Re: What flavors. . .
as crazy as it might sound we did our cake tasting today, the lady gave us a whole bunch of little cakes with fillings and we brought them with us to the hospital where FH's dad is (he's not doing too good ) and FFIL with the rest of the family tasted all the cakes and they helped us choose one.....
