Just wondering which formula you use? The doctors had us start her on Similac Advance. But I see a lot of people using Nestle's Good Start. Please share your feelings on what formula you found worked best.

Unfortunately, we are now on our 3rd formula. Started on Similac with Iron, then Similac Alimentum and as of today, Enfamil Nutramigen. Similac seems to be the preferred formula by most pediatricians from what I've seen.

We started on Similac Advance, but she was soooo gassy, and it was almost $6 a can... a friend told us about Good Start, it is easier to digest and wayyy cheaper. So we decided to give it a try, and it worked out for us.

I thought nutramigen was enfamils version of alimentum? Samantha is on the alimentum, she couldnt tolerate Isomil.

we 1st troed Enfamil Lipil w/ Iron, but Jake seemed uhappy on it and was not pooping. We then tried the Nestle Goodstart, but that was awful, it would never fill Jake up and he was always crying because he was hungry no matter how much we fed him. We then went back on the Enfamil lipil w/ iron and found out that he was allergic to the milk based formula. We are now on the Enfamil Nutramigen, which is very expensive, but if it makes him happy than that is all that matter. We are also trying to get our insurance company to pay for his formula, since it is a medical necessity.

First we tried Enfamil Lipil, then Enfamil Prosobee (soy) and finally Enfamil Nutramagin. First two formulas Alyssa had problems with.

The only thing different about the 2 of them is that the Alimentum has corn syrup and Nutramigen doesn't. The Dr' said that some babies have a problem with the corn syrup, so they switched Cassidy to Nutramigen. Hopefully that will work!

Andrew is also on nutramigen, after 3 months of rashes and tummy aches we finally got it right. We tried reg similac, Enfamil and Prosobee. We were also lucky enough to get our insurance company(Empire Bc\Bs) to cover the cost of the nutramigen because it is medically necessary. So if your baby needs speacial formula call your insurance company and see if they will cover the cost. .

We tried enfamil but he wouldn't take it. Then we tried good start and he took that so thats what we give him if I wasn't able to pump enough or when needed.

that is the exact process we went threw with anthony. he has been on the nutramagin for 2 months now with no problems. my dr wants me to slowly start the lipil again. i am scared to! he would throw it up a few hours later!

We've used the Similac Isomil Advance since the beginning and luckily haven't had to switch him.

Similac's Isomil Advance I had Emily on Similac Advance with Iron and she couldn't tolerate it at all. I changed her to the soy formula at seven weeks and she's been going strong ever since. I had a different baby after the switch.

We've run the gammet w/Amber - she's tried Enfamil, Similac, Good Start. I think she get's 'sick' of a type of formula and then she won't drink it for nothing. I keep a little of everything in the house just in case. Right now she's back on Similac because she kept turning her head and sceaming when she had Enfamil. Then again, her eating has gotten so unpredictable, half the time I don't know what to give her
