-Snacks -Bottled Water -Local 'What to Do' things -Mints/Gum -Directions to the Ceremony and Hall with maps (in case they forgot) -A thank you note -Newspaper/Magazine

our wedding is in the city so i'm putting in a subway map, a copy of time out new york, a list i've compiled of things to do and restaurants to eat at, bottled water, an apple (it is the big apple after all!), and i think some snacks. i still haven't put it all together yet.

Great ideas!
I don't think my guests will be staying for more than the night so I'm not including things to do or places to go. I'm planning on putting in snacks, thank you notes and bath and body stuff. I already bought bottles of shower gel and body lotion for them to use instead of the standard hotel stuff. I'm going to use bags instead of baskets because we have so many oot guests.

I see that you're getting married in October, our OOT bags were Trick or Treat bags. We put all of the stuff the other girls metioned and then some halloween candy and other halloween/fall themed novelty items for fun.

maps of the area disposable cameras candy small travel games tissues hair spray we got cards made up with out date and names on them thank you card list of contacts

Ours was in October. Each bag got:
A bottle of water 2 apples Bag of homemade cookies (thanks to my sister) Small bag of pretzels Small bags of peanuts Information booklet w/things to do, maps, ect. 2 packets of Advil A local postcard
and Do Not Disturb signs for their hotel room door. (I'm the manager of the hotel so I made special ones that had our names on them. This way houskeeping knew they were my guests)

My mom and I bought all of the food at Cosco. We made the packages out of wire bread baskets and wrapped them up in cellaphane tied with a bow. We put
2 bottles of water 1 packet of Fruit snacks 1 apple 1 orange 1 pack of gum 1 packet of trail mix 2 Kellogg's Nutri-grain breakfast bars 1 packet of oreos, ritz or cheez its 1 baggie full of candy 1 individually wrapped coffee cake A guide of things to do and see on LI (Got these from Uniondale Marriott)
We made about 20 baskets for less than $200. The picture below is of one of the larger baskets we made for DH's godmother. The others were smaller and we used round wire baskets.
