What happened to good doctors like there were before? long vent

Monday night, I was washing dishes, and don't ask how, long story, but I cut my finger open with a knife (for those that didn't register yet, definately get Henkels, very sharp, lol!)

I yell out to John 'I think I got a problem here' who comes over (he thought I dropped my ring down the sink), anyway, I couldn't look at the bloody mess on my finger, but John did and said he can see stuff inside my finger (gross, meaning it was a DEEP cut) & he thought it was time to go to the ER.

Anyway the ass DR goes and glues my finger & puts 2 butterfly stitches on top of that cause he knew (and I told him) the glue was not going to hold this wound closed. The cut is on TOP of my thumb from the knuckle downward, therefore when i move my knuckle, the wound opens wide.

Here it is Friday and the wound, although it is healing, looks like it is not closed the way it should be, as if it were stitches. Now I will go back and say what to these people????

Gosh - don't get me started with drs lateley! THEY NEED A SMACK IN THE HEAD!!!

If you just go back and say 'I don't know if this healed right' they will tell you yes it's fine blabla We're doctors we know blabla

If you go back and say 'I KNOW THIS ISN'T RIGHT FIX IT' and demand to speak to the Cheif down there!

What hospital was this????

Last year when I was in the hospital because of the car accident I swear I thought Brian was going to ring a doctor or nurse around their neck.

I had a neck brace on, was still on the board and very very uncomfortable. Because of the concussion I was very nausous and feeling very sleepy. Brian kept yelling for the doctor and no one came to help me.

I started crying that I had to puke and again no one. Brian saw me turning very pale and grabbed a bucket. Neck brace, back board and all he turned me over to my side. Then the doctors come running and started yelling at him for moving me.

I was in the hospital for 4 hours and it was a nightmare. God for bid we were standing in front of that hospital and you were dying I would rush you to another hospital before I walk you into this one.

OMG what is wrong with people? I swear they wouldn't want to be treated this poorly!!!!
Hope you get someone that knows what they are doing this time.

St Johns Chip, I NEVER go here, EVER, but I did cause its so close & I was bleeding so much & the cut was very bad.

lol - u sound like me jenn... i did the same thing last year - went down to the bone... but i'm such an a$$ - i just put some neosporin on & put bandage on with tape, and that was the end of that...

St John's. Is that on Queens Blvd???

I was in Northshore Forest hills for the car accident.

Wanna know something, I think its St. John's they ranked the worst hospital in the list of hospitals (FI's mom is a nurse and works for the unions and she gave us the run down of the good, the bad and the horrible)

I always forgot the name but I knew where it was. That is a bad hospital.

My great grandmother was in a nursing home and St. Johns was the hospital they sent the patients too when they were sick. My great grandmother would come out of their sicker then she went in. I cant tell you how many times my mom had a fight in there.

It was listed in the chronical and Brian's mom told us its the worst hospital



Northshore forest hills is close, but it ranks with St. Johns.

Sounds like we have a trend. I cut my thumb almost the same way a couple of years ago washing a Henckels knife!!! I didn't get stitches but my thumb is still not the same.

I hate doctors.
