What happened to Gordon?

Ok this one I'll post on the Yankee board. Although I'm not sure how many people are even going to be checking this board today.

How could someone go from being lights out during the season and then be awful in the entire post season? IMO, he's the player to put the blame on as to why they couldn't close out the series. He put Rivera in difficult situations and Mo can only do so much.

Re: What happened to Gordon?

Gordon has been a known playoff choker. He just can't get the job done when the time comes. (ie: see Benitez)

Re: What happened to Gordon?

Brown would have been my last choice for last nights game. I think Joe Torre should have had him out of there after the first two runs were scored. This was do or die and Torre knows Brown's record in post season, against the sox, and at home. He was 0-4 in he=is career at home in the post season. I think the Yankee pitching really killed them, but I think if they had made the right moves, they could have pulled it out. That Loiza should have been their starter. He pitched 10 times better than Brown!! I hope Brown is gone from the Yankee organization ASAP. He Stinks. He may have been good in the NL, but not in the AL. Some pitcher just pitch better in NL than AL and he is definitely one of them!!
