Good question. There are many things to name just one. I would have to say the stupid comments that he would make when we were younger & starting out in our relationship. I still remember most of them.

when he doesn't realize how important something is to me...doesn't take it as seruiously as I do.

when he does something without thinking there are two people he needs to think about - himself & me.

There was one time that he hurt me, and I still remember it, but I understand his side. When my Aunt died suddenly (my cousin Jeff's mom, and Jeff is like a brother to me), it was during Easter, so we were at my FILs house. We flew in from upstate NY. So from Queens I had to fly to Boston for the funeral. I pleaded with FH to come with me, that I really needed his support. He thought about it and declined. So I went alone. He felt like I really didn't need him since I would be so busy with my other family. Like he would be out of place. And in the end, I really was able to focus my whole attention on Jeff, who needed it. But it still hurt that I asked FH to come with me, and he said no. Now that we live together, and that I've gone to his family member's funerals (this incident was 4 years ago) I'm sure he would absolutely go with me. But this incident still hurts me.

DH doesn't currently or consistently do anything to hurt me, thank Goodness. Sure we bicker and can upset each other, but hurt is a much deeper thing.

The only time I can remember feeling HURT by him was shortly after we moved in together, but before we were engaged...

He misinterpreted something I'd written in an email and the short version is that he accused me of lying about us, our relationship, and just felt as though he didn't believe I was in the relationship for the right reasons, etc. While there was no truth to ANY of his statements or what he'd read, and it was completely a misinterpretation on his part (though in retrospect I do not blame him for thinking what he thought) .. the fact he thought I felt those things and/or lied to him hurt me beyond belief. He was so ready to move out and even break up until he confronted me with this info.

For me, it was purely the fact he felt I'd LIED to him and that he did not TRUST ME. One thing I value most about our relationship is HONESTY -- so the very thought he might not trust me just hurt.

But luckily we talked.. and talked.. and talked some more and totally resolved the situation. He realized he was mistaken, and the trust was always there and I reiterated that I'd never lied to him, and never would!!

Thank goodness, I love him so I couldn't imagine life w/out him

My best friend's baby died when he was 10 days old. The funeral was out of state, over 150 miles away. I asked him to go with me, and my SO freaked out and said that he didn't want to take a day off, that his job is very important, (teacher, just like me) and that what do I need him there for? FYI, he took a day off just because he was TIRED shortly after that...

My best guy friend offered to take a day off to go, and he doesn't even know my friend!

I cried the whole way driving down there (after working since 7am) and the whole way back.

Seeing that little coffin, seeing the look on my friend's face, doing a reading during the funeral, it was very hard on me. I had to rely on my friend's friends (whom I had only met once or twice) for comfort while i was down there.

I don't know if I can ever forgive or forget that one.

How about when his mother verbally attacked myself and my mom and he sat there, dumbstruck?

Also Fh's family would nevr invite me anywhere, and they would go to Fl every year to visit family and FH wanted to introduce me, but they always had some excuse. So finally Fh put his foot down and siad he wouldn't go without me agan, and he made thi a promise to me. Then they guilted him into going b/c his grandma was sick and send him plane tickets and he met them down there. We wanted to go together, but they were saying he couldnt bring me (even tho we were gonna stay at a hotel). I told him if he broke that promise it would be over between us, and he went anyway, knowing that. I'm not sure why i forgave him, but I will ALWAYS remember that. I'll always remember the time he didn't choose me

At this point , I don't remember the details, but it had something to do with his carzy family's last minute plans & canceling on going to LI with me at teh last minute for a family thing, to do something with his family, leaving me to pack my things at the last minute to take to work, so I could go straight to LI by myslef & spend the weekend.

One was where he had found my fictional stories I wrote and he thought it was real. So he took my creative writing journal and threw it out on me.

I was so hurt that he went fishing for this and that he thought it was real and then to throw it out. Mind you I wrote this stuff about 10 years ago but they were my short stories that I can never get back.
