What have you ladies done so far?

booked our engagement party which is next month!!!!

I've only placed phone calls and emailed people like a mad woman

I will be in NY soon enough to lock things in. The good part is i pretty much know already who i want to see, which makes life easier when i get there. Just a lot of research right now because i dont want to rush and regret giving my deposits to anyone later on.

The vendors pretty much know me and is expecting me and my husband... Its murder trying to get things done from another state.

So far we have only booked the RH. Haven't done ANYTHING else yet!

I was actually going to ask you ladies when would be a good time to book other vendors... I feel like it's so far away and don't know when we should do anything.

Oh and we will probably plan our engagement party for this summer so I guess we should probably get on that! We have to decide where we want to have it.

its never to early so long as vendors are willing to book this far in advance and there is a vendor that you know is very popular and books quickly..

I would start with photo, video, dj, florist and then other items can wait until 2011... but it cant hurt to book a vendor now.. you can lock into 2010 rates and save at least $500 between all the basic wedding vendors that you need for your wedding..

i wish i booked last year because a photographer that I had my eye on went up by $300.....but happy i didnt because we are changing our date
