I gave birth at St. Charles.. I have both pos. and negative comments about them. Mercy was too far for me!

I gave birth at Winthrop. My doc is also affliated with South Nassau and NS Manhasset. I chose Winthrop because of its excellent maternity reputation and the fact they have a NICU there, god forbid something ever happened and it was needed.
I have no complaints. I had a private room and was quite happy.

Im all the way out on the island. I delivered Emma at Southampton Hospital and this one will be born at the same place.

I am going to NYU Medical Center in the city - I did not want to give up my dr., and that is the hospital she is affiliated with. It is really a madhouse there, but it is an excellent hospital with a great NICU. On my tour there were about 40 babies in the nursery!

Laurie, I had 2 of my children at Mercy and couldn't have been happier! They were wonderful! Who's your OB?

Hi..I can attest to how wonderful the staff is at Mercy hospital. I had the honor of visiting them over 14 times during my pregnancy. I was high risk and not a glowing mommy. They made my expereince 100% better than I could have hoped. So take it from someone who was miserable not not coasting through pregnancy..they proved they are a good hospital

I had Scotty at Stony Brook and was happy with the except for their visiting hours are way too long and they allowed way too many people in the room. I had people there morning to night, sometimes 15 people at a time, it was just too much.
I will be having this baby at St. Charles, because I switched OBGYN's

My midwife convienced me that Nassau University was a good hospital despite my concerns I listened to her. BIG FING MISTAKE...one I will regret forever.

Yes. That is where the water birth room is...which would have been great if I didn't have to have a c/s due to the baby being breech. It was a mess, a total mess. But early on I was very concerned and she kept telling me how 'new' it was and different and wonderful now and etc...etc...she basically lied to me so that I would stay her patient. I trusted her so of course why would I think she was lying to me....yes...I made a grave error in judgement in many things during my pregnancy

Aww... But its ok cause u have a beautiful baby girl nothing else matters she is healthy...And ADORABLE!
And they do have the best Trauma ward!

As of right now I will be giving birth at LIJ but I'm thinking of switching doctors so if I do then it will be Winthrop.
