St. Anthony's in Warwick. The staff was great, and very attentive. Everyone gets their own beautiful LDR room. I wouldn't have left my room if I didn't have to have a c-section.

This was sweet... A few minutes after every baby is born they play the song 'Lullaby and goodnight...' over the hospital PA system. With c-section moms, they wait til you get back to your room so that you can hear it.

I gave birth at St. Charles. The labor nurses are wonderful there!! They were angels in my eyes.

I gave birth at Huntington and had a WONDERFUL experience, I didn't want to leave, The nurses were all so nice and sincere, I felt like I was in a sorority. My first born was at Stony Brook and my cousin is head of maternity so we cgot star treatment, but I truly liked Huntington better. Plus the visiting hrsare treacherous at Stony Brook (too long), and they really force the baby to _room-in'. It was really nce having the nurse come and take the baby in between feedings and not put so much stress on the 'bonding time', there is plenty of time for that when you get home!!! Also, Rosemarie Ferrigno is the lactation consultant and she is UNREAL, she's like having Mrs Santa Clause teaching you about your baby, she's th ebest and she runs the breastfeeding group every week!! FM me is you need more info

Huntington Hospital is fabulous!
My Mom is a Nurse in the Nursery and I've known most of the nurses my whole life. My babies will be delivered there- even though I live about an hour away. When I went through my miscarriage and D&C, the nurses, Drs and staff was wonderful to me. My Mom is also one of the Nurses that teaches new Moms how to care for their newborns and even breast feed. They have a wonderful staff, even if I am biased.

Re: What hospital did you give/are you giving birth?

I just wanted to add that I feel it does matter that I had such a bad hospital experience. Yes I am very grateful that my daughter is beautiful and healthy. But I still feel that I should have been treated medically and emotionally much better by the staff at the hospital. Most of the nurses laughed at me when I kept asking them if the rash/blisters I had was normal. They told me that it was and that a doctor would never care about that. Well I ended up needing medication and shots for over a month not to mention I had a lot of pain because of an allergic reaction. This is just one example of the poor treatment. Emotionally one nurse told me to 'get used to c/s because that is the way I would always have my babies now' it was truly an awful experience made much worse.

I think a postive hospital experience can really make a difference.
