every travel agent i talk to gives me a different one to stay at? i am thinking of going to Kauai, maui, and oahu.

I am going to those three islands & staying at the Hyatt on each one. They give you a special rate if you use them for all 3 islands-be sure to ask about that! The Hyatt is a 4 or 5 star hotel dependingon the island.

Grand Wailea on Maui, The Lifetime in Hawaii, in Honolulu. We were going to do Kuai, but I was warned that everything shuts down at like 10PM, nice and romantic, but after a few nights, we would get stir crazy.

we're doing a vacation rental... a home on the ocean in Kauai. we liked the idea of being right by the ocean, able to cook our own meals if we want, and the peacefulness of being in a private place instead of a resort... if you are not into nightlife, you may want to look into something like that.

Sheraton in Mauia and Kaui - I became a starwood preferred guest and got 35% off the room rates and 2 nights free. Also, you get a discount off of your car rental and food.
