Our E-party is next weekend and it's in the backyard. There is NO room for people to be inside the house. We called several halls in the area and they are either booked or require us to use their caterer. We are putting up some tents, but that doesn't seem to be sitting well with our guests. What do i tell them when they keeping asking us what we are going to do if it rains...it's driving me crazy!!!!

good luck! we had my e-party the last weekend of june in my backyard and thankfully it only rained in the morning. I'm sure you'll find a way to fit people in the house if absolutely necessary - people will understand...we can't control the weather!

My engagement party was May 31st. In case you don't remeber we did not have a sunny day unti last week so it poured on that day. We had two small tents up (like food tents) and no room inside. My guests handled it VERY well. It didn't start raining until about an hour after the guest got there and it didn't start pouring until everyone was just about ready to leave anyway. Don't worry, people like to complain but give them a few drinks and they will be fine. Best of Luck.

I think if the tents are big enough...you will be fine! Just make sure they are long or wide enough to fit enough tables and or chairs for everyone and keep any food under the tents. Those tents are very strong! I think it makes for a very pretty atmosphere to be in the center of the rain! Don't stress about things you can't control...everything will work out!

They have tents with walls. Put them up a few days prior, so the ground is dry. Also get some fans to keep the air moving. Also decorate the tent inside with lights, Tulle, etc and it will be so pretty!
