I have a friend who just got married and hates her video. She says the editing stinks (no one from here she lives in florida) but I thought that if she got her raw footage, she can send that to someone to have it edited and spend some more money but get a better product. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Re: what if you don't like your wedding video?
videographers usually don't like giving you the raw footage ... i'd try to have the same videographer re-do the vid, though .... she paid him, he should give her a product that she likes!
why didn't she like it, btw?

that stinks :( I'm opting not to have a video, just have a family remember record key parts

she said its all shaky and it looks ok but nothing special. she was given the raw footage but she thought that she just has to live with it and i said that maybe she could have someone else edit it for her? the guy she got has a certain way of editing i guess but she wanted a more 'cinematic' video. i haven't seen it so i can't say if its good or bad. if she has the raw stuff, its worth a try right?

If she gets the raw video, I would definitely say she can do that. I would talk to the videographer though and have the re-do it since she paid for it.

true, maybe she can work something out. i think she was just disappointed and didn't want to talk to him right away for fear of sounding like a jerk. i think she just couldn't afford a really cinematic style videographer and now she regrets not having that kind of video.
