Re: what is...

ok you know that stamp that the machine puts over your stamps when you get mail? its like wavy lines. . . the concept is if you go to the post office they will let you get an actual stamp and stamp the envelopes yourself so it is all pretty . . .

honestly, i know it is very popular but i just dont get it - most people dont even keep the invite much less the envelope

the funny thing is that there are other machines the envelope has to go through so all that hard work may be for nothing anyway!

Re: what is...

lol guess i didnt explain it right

you still put a regular stamp on it all you are eliminating are the wavy lines that the machine prints OVER the stamp when it processes it. . .

so you are getting a hand stamp and stamping it OVER the postage stamp

lol how many times can i say STAMP ahhh

hope that makes sense???

I was reading Tilde's response and still have no idea what this process is. I understand why it is done, but I must be lazy too, b/ I am not doing that. What a waste of time..... And you don't have to explain again what it is I am okay w/o knowing....

Re: what is...

I figure if we are spending so much money for pretty envelopes & stuff, we might as well put the extra effort forth for the guests to see. I received an invite once that was really fudged up with ink, so I think i'm ganna do this. I would have forgotten all about it if this wasnt posted so thanks! I gatta tell my Mom now
