what is the song that you and FH are dancing to for your first dance?

how did you choose?

Fh and I argued about ours for a while. He wanted the song that was 'our song' since we were 15. Angel of Mine was the first song we ever danced to at my Sweet 16. It was our song throughout the the first few years we dated.. My FH said its the only appropriate song to dance to.. At first I disagreed then I listened to it again and HE is right ..

dave & i were originally going to do a movie theme wedding at a theater type place....but it closed down.....so then we had one other place and again, were going with a movie themed wedding at the other place.

We figured out we couldn't afford the second place...and went with the fox hollow - which really didn't fit in with our movie theme thing....

so - our wedding song is a nod to our movie themed wedding we had planned....it's from American Wedding...it's the first dance with the married couple at their wedding.

Our first dance was to Frank Sinatras 'The Way You Look Tonight.'

The reason we chose that song is because it was our first dance together. We were walking along the boardwalk of Hollywood Beach in Florida and there were a bunch of elderly people who I guess were having an outing or something, and they were all dancing on the boardwalk while a little old man was singing Frank Sinatra songs with a band behind him. He started to sing 'The Way You Look Tonight' and DH asked me to dance. so there we were, surrounded by a bunch of 70+ year old people, dancing on the beach. It was actually really romantic and cute. Anddd thats the end of my story.

the top contender right now for first song is Earth Angel...

We're both huge fans of Back to the Future (we're old enough to have seen it in theaters when the 1st one was released), and last week Family Guy did a spoof of Back to the Future, and when they played Earth Angel, FH said that should be our song....for now at least!

very tough. either 'thank you' by dido which has lots of meaning b/c i was obsessed with dido and he took me to the concert and that was the first night he said he loved me plus the words are sooo perfect

answer by sarah mclachlan - who i also have a deep obsession with but it might be a little too slow for a dance... then i was thinking of incorporating it into the ceremony somehow... the words are amazing
