What is an average raise-percentage wise?

Just got mine, thought it was a little low, but I am unsure.

What is the average?

my raise was a little over 9%... but when I was hired I asked for an increase of that amount at 6 months...

I agree--anywhere from 3 to 4% is average, which in the end isn't much

I am usually lucky when I get 3%. My Cie is super cheap.

No matter how much you make, that is a good raise!!

I think 3-4% is cost of living = nothing

it depends on your field, too...
not-for profit also = nada

This year was hardly a raise b/c last year I received over 12k for a raise.. well not really a raise a salary adjustment b/c I moved up.

I really can't complain I guess.. although I was a little disapointed this year.. but yea I would say between 3-4 percent raise is average.

usually a standard increase is about 3-4%

if you get that you are keeping up with the cost of living.

My company caps them at 4% unless there is a promotion involved. My boss was so excited that he was able to get me more... 4.3%

I work in Financial Services and they are notoriously cheap. We received a little more than 3%. The only way you will receive more than that at my company is if you were promoted or it is an adjustment.

I got 4.5% this year and work in nonprofit. I think at my organization they ranged from 3.5-4.5 this year. Last year they were lower - everyone was at 3-3.5%. The year before that I got 5%. I think it all depends on our finances for the year.
