I'm starting to work on my little details for my reception and I don't know what to do for my wedding favor. What are some of the things you girls picked as your favors? Pics would be appreciated! TIA!!!

We did heart shaped cookie cutters. They said ' cut out for love' They were so adorable.

we are giving donations to the susan g komen breast cancer foundation, and then giving outt he car magnets in the pink ribbon

The pastor of our church wrote this tiny little book of 1 page stories on love from his experiences over the past 30 years... we are giving those out, wrapped in handmade paper by my daughter and myself... ' Also we made a donation in everyones name to the NY Autism Society in honor of my son Alex who is autistic, and included a car magnet for everyone.

This may be mine...it's .50 more than we want to spend tho...it doens't sound like much but for 225-250 guests it adds up!! I figure that couples get 8 coasters and single people get 4. Practical and useful. We may do a donation to Sloan Kettering or Calvary hospice in his fathers memory too.

We are doing a donation in his sister's memory and some candy. We are also giving our placecard holders that can hold a picture.

We donated to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation in honor of my nephew (ring bearer).
These are all great ideas. But if you're not stuck on one particular thing you'd love to give your guests, I really think that a donation is the way to go. As someone else said, so many people don't know what to do with a favor and it will be a chance to help out someone less fortunate than us.

My question is this...... As far as favors go, aren't they supposed to be like a thank you for coming to the wedding. Are favors supposed to be what your guests will use and like and get use of, or are they supposed to be what the bride and groom would like, giving the guests a taste of the bride and groom?
Good point....is it more about a taste of us or is it more about trying to please the guests....
We're actually giving two favors. One that I think our guests will like/use: A set of hand-painted votive candles, and one that is a taste of us, which is a music CD with a compilation of a lot of songs we like or that mean something to us. Most songs on the CD will be new to a lot of our guests, so hopefully they will listen to the whole thing instead of just skipping to the ones they know!

We're making a mini album with our engagement pic in the front and a cd inside with a combination of R&B and Spanish music.

Full size bottles of Pindar wine, they will wrap them to match your BP colors and matching labels. All you have to do is pick them up!

We're giving out ornaments. This is just an example on the website From the Heart
But we're putting a different saying and Dec. 2005 instead of our names.
I'm thinking of leaf-shaped maple leaf bottles filled with maple syrup from Vermont...they are adorable and go with the fall theme and color scheme I am thinking about. Also thinking of making a bow out of organza ribbon and a tag that says, 'How Sweet It Is' with our names and the date...that is going to be our wedding song.

I found these great candles in a little pouch and they were so cheap that I ended up buying them all. I was able to get 370 of them!!! Can't wait to put them on our tables.
