my hall also makes homemade items so we are having little breads made (pumpkin, banana nut, etc) and wrapping them with tulle and ribbon.

We made our own CD's. it was quite a hit at our wedding!!

We did 4x6 photo albums w/ frame cover and it doubled as place setting assignments

i think I need to change my wedding favor idea. Seems like people are still doing favors. Ok guess I need to rethink my strategy

We are having a glass and pewter cheese bowl ( or sugar/jam bowl for non-italians) I really wanted to do cappaccino mugs since FH family used to be in the biz but the place I went to for favors said they were discontinued. I was really upset, still bothers me.

I was planning on having big bowl filled with imported Italian candies, and lettingthe guest help themselves when leaving. I was going to order organza bags with ribbon for them to fill. Is that cheesy??

We did mini bottles of Jagermeister and Baileys all wrapped up with the Italian almonds - it incorporated our family heritage (German, Irish & Italian).

My DJ is actually going around during the cocktail hour & reception and taking pictures of everyone, then downloading them, and placing them into 5x7 frames & having everyone come pick them up @ the end of the party!

wacky - responded in your other post. We came up with the idea ourselves, and didn't have any outside help putting it together.

Its possible they came up with the same idea, or saw previous posts about it from me, or heard about it from folks at aour wedding.

Thats alright, but it was around April and she said she was helping some girl she work with in school at Bklyn, with the favors. Anyway neat idea.

I'm loving the little bottlles of liquor idea! I just asked my Fi what he thought of putting litlle bottles of Baileys on the tables! He like it!!! YEAH!!!

We are giving out Irish ornaments.

what a funny coincidence - maybe it wasn't such a unique concept

Definitely wasn't me - I couldn't work with anyone at a school in brooklyn...I live in San Francisco.

We are making a donation to the American Cancer Society and I am wrapping hugs and kisses in tulle and attaching a poem to let guests know what we are doing

Thanks....My FMIL, Father, and Stepmother all have/had cancer. We are going to surprise them at the reception with the favors
