What is everyone doing for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa

Christmas Eve we're going to our friends house for a nice dinner.

On Christmas Day/1st night of Hanukkah we're going to my parent's house for dinner and to exchange gift.

I love this interfaith thing!!

i'll be making meatballs and for the first time i'll be making a brisket. i think i'll also make chicken soup

We usually have a 12 fish christmas eve dinner with family friends (we are jewish but have been going there for many years), normally on christmas my immediate family gets together makes a turkey dinner and (sorry but we call it thanksgiving II).
This year it is Chanukah and so we will be celebrating at my grandma's with latkes and a big meal. On monday we will be celebrating with DH's family.

Christmas eve we're doing home. I have no idea what I'm cooking. Maybe we'll order a pie. Christmas morning we are visiting my grandma. Then its off to my parents for dinner and to his parents for dessert and to see our nephew open presents.

Christmas Eve we trek upstate to visit my Dad, Grammie, Brother, Nephew & Niece (). Then DH & I head on back down to LI late Saturday night so we can spend the night in our own home and Christmas morning by ourselves as we have for as long as we've known each other. Then....off to his Sister's where the majority of his family gets together.

It's busy and lots and lots of running, but worth it in the long run.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season this year. I love all the new friends I've made on here. Thank you all so much for being who you are...special.

We do traditional Italian Christmas Eve with all the fishes at my grandparents house with my parents, grandparents,sisters and sig others, and cousins...then Christmas will be at my parents house with my parents, grandparents, uncle and aunt, and sisters. I am so excited to have my DH with me in NY this Christmas (if only my virus would go away)!

Every year, we would go to my Aunt's house for Christmas day and dinner until we are pooped and drive home. Since I've been with DH, we went to his brother's house for Christmas Eve.

Not this year

Since we are in NC for the first Christmas, I am kinda sad that I don't have my family and friends. We will still have Christmas Eve at my BIL's, that'll be our big dinner. Then Christmas Day they are coming over to our house for a more laid back, relaxing day.

I am trying hard to be in the Christmas spirit, but I'm kinda half faking it But I am trying. I am looking forward to it. Just miss the 'traditional' holidays that I'm used to.

Oh yea, my DH's family is not very religious - I haven't even found a menorah that I like (DH doesn't care if we get one or not) - but I know we will light the candle and say the prayer at my BILs. lol

We're spending Christmas with my sister and brother-in-law, and Christmas Eve alone. I'm not sure what I'll cook for Christmas Eve yet, but something we wouldn't usually have, maybe lamb.
