I was thinking of going to one of the catering halls with a group of friends. There is so much food and alcohol!!!!!!!!! ANd I get to dress up! Just not sure what one to go to. There are so many to choose from. ANyone else doing anything similiar?

I did that last year at JT but didn't havea good time they cramed to many people in there,
i'm going to my brothers we always have fun there watching moview drinkjing eating and playing games!!

we're going with one of my BP to niagara falls. there's a free concert there every year & we're splitting a hotel suite...so by dividing all the math by 3 - we can afford it!
we stay 15 minutes outside of niagara and the suite costs 120!!! It's FANTASTIC!!!!

Yeah I used to go to familys house but too many people in my family drink too much and they start to annoy me. LOL Also having 13 cousins screaming and running around gets ya crazy!

One year I spent NYE at the Marriott Marquis and watched the ball drop from a room with a private party. It was great and no crowds!!!! I want to do something like that again.

my cousins will be here from italy for my wedding so we have to make it a family affair - i havent celebrated with my family since the beginning of HS so it should be nice - just a dinner party with some drinks. . . i never have done anything really fun on NYE anyway - I am usually in bed earlier than on regular weekend nights

I did this for the past two years...it's okay. I mean we had a whole table of friends...but you're crammed in a room with at least 150 other people and it's kinda crazy. Last year ******..the place we went to couldn't handle the amount of people, they had at least 1000 people in all their rooms and the servise was terrible, we could hear music from the other party..i dunno. I think I'm staying in with Fh and family this year..

New Years Eve is my birthday and my FH and I decided to throw a party for our close friends this year. We are supplying the alcohol and and everyone is bringing a different dish and we will sit around and BS and blow up air mattresses so people can just crash at the end of the night if they are in no condition to drive home!

same things every year... FILs host an INSANE party. the house is packed, food doesn't stop coming out and the alcohol keeps pouring. its so much fun!

Normally we are home on NYE with family and friends. But this year we're going to the Garden City Hotel. You should look into that too!

My friends all went to this nice new years party last year and we are going again this year. We all had a great time. their website
This group of people started it 8 years ago apparently and have done one every year since. It is in this nice hall in the city on w. 18th called the metropolitan pavillion. They had bars lining the walls and it was open bar from 9-2 with some appetizers and stuff out all night. Good music, good crowd, everyone dressed up nice and the best part was that we didn't wait for a drink the whole night! If we waited behind one person, it was a lot. The one downfall was there was only one set of bathrooms, but the line moved really fast and they had bathroom attendents to keep everything in order. Tix are $130 if you order before dec. 15, $160 after that.
