We are making a donation to the widows and children fund.

How much should we give pp? Or should I just donate a set amount.

I was thinking around $3pp? Sound about right?

I am doing full bottles of wine per person wrapped in red organza bags. I got a great deal on the wine, so the total of that is about $7 pp. I am also doing something on the tables - probably truffles and they will be no more than $2 pp. So in total $9 pp. I know - I went a little overboard.


Amy - how many people are you having? IMO I think a donation should be at least $500.

We did a full bottle of wine with a red organza bag and a heart shaped wine stopper - came out to about $7

Plus we did lots of other little favors:

Bagels, cream cheese, and coffee for the next morning

Table & couple 4x6 pictures that were taken during the wedding and put into a picture frame

Personalized air fresheners

and little box's with 5 sugar almonds and a few hershey kisses inside

We are going to do wine bottles as well, although I haven't really looked into this yet. We are going to the wineries this summer. YEAAAA!

Amy, I'd say a set amount is fine...maybe $500.?

I have been to many many weddings that gave donations as favors and the amount was never listed. It really is none of their buisness.

same here, way overboard, especially since i 'have to have' the pindar Autumn gold wine cause it goes so well with my theme


btw: where did you get the organza bags for your wine bottles??

We did a few:

Lindt truffles in vellum bags that doubled as placecards

Jordan almonds (silver and blue) in clear square boxes in each place setting

Pugliese wine bottles in organza bags (bags were from pouchmart.com

Total on all favors = ~ $550
