Ditto!! Even though our church says they don't like anything tossed, I've been to 3 weddings there in the last year and they all tossed rose petals.

petals... i wanted fall leaves but John from FM made a good point..when you throw them they dont go very far so we changed to petals..

we are getting married at a floral observatory in the park in november at 5:30 so it will be dark and we would have to clean everything up, so I don't think we are doing anything.

you should have everyone hold sparklers....that would look pretty in pics and in dark and no clean up.....im sure someone can post a pic.....
by the way my church said no petals either but i still did it....i figured i made a big enough donation and the florist said that is best for environment...,hahahahah

We're getting married at the RH so I don't think we can do anything....but I do like the idea of the petals......do u use real or fake??? cause I'm thinking the real ones might stain something

We're getting married at the RH also and I am using silk petals. Got like 1000 from Ebay.

We're doing bubbles. Our Church doesn't allow us to throw anything because they do not have anyone to help clean them up (as per the priest).

I am obsessed with butterflies, so we had a butterfly release! I ordered 6 dozen for the guests to release, another 2 dozen for my hubby and I to do a mass release, and one odzen for me to release with my flowergirls and junior bridesmaids! It was AWESOME!!
