I thought maybe we could do a little update....what is everyone up to (planning wise) and what are you planning to do???
So we have our RH, photo, video, and DOC all booked...
We just had the apt with the pastor, i am still deciding if we should go else where....
We have the band and contract, just have to sign and pay...
I sent out the deposit to the hair/makeup, just awaiting the contract back...
I will book the ceremony music as soon as we have the church settled...
We have the limo apt on the 9th....
We have the cake apt on the 17th...
I will be making the florist apt in June...
Our e-party plans are coming along as well...we have the date and place all set...we will be looking into invites and cp's in june....debating photog....
I think that is it for now....

the girls are wearing chocolate brown/truffle the flowers are going to be mango calalillies/orange/red roses/circus roses/eucalyptus

ohhh pretty!!!
i think we are going to have the bm colors be like a really deep plum(and i would like to incorporate gold somewhere)..and then do the orange/fall flowers....at first i never thought this would look good...but then I saw it done in the well wed mag and i LOVE IT! plus the dresses that dark will flatter everyone!!
ahh cant wait until school is over...then planning will be full force

did u buy a wedding binder yet?? that has alot of helpful tips and the binder works to keep all ur contracts together.....
i want to go dress shopping everyday its soo much fun!

my mom bought me the mindy weiss one...i LOVE it!!! i just cant carry it around everywhere as it is huge!!! haha but i am also making it into a scarp book as well....so i always ahve it as a keepsake

I have the church and the reception booked, I have idea on who were are going with vendors wise but we haven't booked yet... I just can't decide on my color scheme.... maybe someone could help me.....

I only have the church booked and will be booking the reception hall on June 1st. After that I want to wait a while and build up mine and FH's savings.

We have most major vendors booked: RH Flowers DJ Photographers DOC
I'm down to 2 companies for the limos..Alexis and Serinity..I will make my choice by next week.
I wanted to make sure I got 09 pricing on everything. Some people couldnt understand why i was booking vendors now. I'm also in the very begining of 2011 so i dont really have as much time as it seems. Our goal is to have most everything paid off by the end of this year so we can concentrate on buying a home next year and MY DRESS!!!!!! I dont want to stress about paying my vendors at the same time i'm paying for my dress. I think hair and make up will be easy. I'm using the same hairdresser I go every 2 weeks and she has a great make up artist she works with for her photo shoots...

Your bridesmaids and flower colors are identical to mine...same exact flowers..roses and calalillies. what florist are you using?

So far we have the RH booked. I am having some issues with the ceremony. I am getting married during Lent, so my pastor isn't too happy about marrying us then. We are considering having our ceremony at Westbury Manor. We got to find an officiant. Besides that the next thing is the photographer and looking for the dress. The rest we are going to do throughout the rest of 2009 and 2010.

Thats werid I am getting married the weekend after you and I had no problem with the church because of Lent. The only time you should have a problem is during Easter week thats when the Church should not marry you.

I didn't think it would be a problem either. I think that it is up to the Pastor of each church to decide what to do. It might be for the best though, neither of us are particularly religious, more spiritual.

I'm so excited.....I just came back from booking my DOC. I met with Cynthia Ross and was so impressed I booked her on the spot. Her price was amazing and she does so much. I felt totally comfortable with her and know that she will be there for me on my day. Even though I only hired for the day of the wedding she is available to talk with me and help with suggestions throughout the planning process. Shes already given me such great ideas I cant beleive it.
I posted a while ago if it was wrong not to tell my FH that I hired her. I got a mixed response but I decided to tell him but not until I pay her off, which will be this year. I figured that would lessen the shock factor if he knows he doesnt have to pay any extra money towards it.
