Now that Janna mentioned this, it reminds me, FIL's bought us a Lenox figurine and I guess we'll put in front of the cake also (she was kinda upset when she saw my topper, guess it was a surprise).

Re: What is everyone using for a Cake Topper??

This was my cake. I didn't use a topper. Just natural flowers:
Going off on a tangent-what kind of frosting was you cake? It looks gorgeous but I ca't tell if that is fondant or buttercream or something else. Thanks!
I'm not using one. I thought about the bride and groom toppers but I would want the bride and groom to look like us. I don't like the clay personal toppers. I felt it was too cartoonish. I'm not taking his last name so the monogrames were a no. I would have gone as far as doing the sun and moon topper or a cat bride and dog groom topper. But I fell in love with the castle cakes and thats what I'm going for.

It was not a fondant. I made sure of it. I can't remember if it was butter cream or whipped cream. I tend to think butter cream. I have it in the freezer but I can't tell you for almost another year by tasting it.

So good to hear-I thought you could only get a cake that looked that good by using fondant (which I don't like the taste of). Thank you!
