Fittings start in a little over a month and I'm clueless. Store names would help... I need to get measured b/c I'm wearing the wrong size stuff right now...

Oh, also, is it awkward to wear a thong when you go for your fittings???? I don't really wear anything else (sorry if TMI lol), but I'm worried that I'm going to have to parade around in it in front of people and I don't want to do that!!!

I always wear opaque black tights, and no one has complained about me keeping them on.
But Ill be wearing a great bra and spanx under dress.
I might skip the bra, my seamstress swears she can built a bra into the dress better than anything I can buy.

Tights are a good idea, I have a pair of those black things girls are wearing under skirts these days... so maybe I'll do that.
Anyone know if Bridal Reflections sells the undergarment stuff incase I don't get anything beforehand?

I wore boy shorts and several different corsets and one pieces. After several visits I found that they just made my shape different and the dress fit alot tighter. So I nixed everything except for underwear and that is the way I wore it for the wedding!
If you cannot do this and you feel you must wear something I would recommend spanx for a smooth and easy fitting.

I'd be thrilled to only wear underwear if the inside of the dress isn't uncomfortable. I'll have to try it out.
What are spanx? I googled it but I'm getting all kinds of stuff...

I once went dress shopping in a thong -- it was a spur of the moment trip, I was uncomfortable, but the sales lady didn't care -- she said she's seen a lot worse , and that most of the girls come in in thongs.

honestly the only thing i wore under my wedding gown besides my shoes & garter were my thigh-highs & a white thong that said 'Just Married'

ps: i got the thigh highs from Macys that have the silicone around the top.....those things did not BUDGE & i barely knew they were there! i highly reccomend them if u're anti-stockings like i am

Hah, I'll probably do that but without the thigh-highs! Good to know it's not unusual to show up for fittings without a corset or anything like that that's really what I wanted to make sure of...

just make sure u make a decision on what u DO want to wear under ur dress...because if u do plan on wearing some sort of corset or longline bra, or even regular bra they need u to wear it for ur fittins.

I am wearing a strapless bra (new from Georgettes) and spanx! I really would rather not wear the spanx but my dress is super super tight and I dont want one bulge!!!!!
Also I am pretty shameless and dont care if they see me in my thong! LOL! When I went dress shopping I left the door open because I was claustraphobic!

LOL jk, but last time I was at Bloomingdales an older woman did the same thing... there are just some things I don't need to see... she was trying on gowns with no bra...
