I finally made my first DIY. I decided to start with the card box.. For all of the supplies (minus the glue gun bc I had one already) it came to $23 (w/ joanne fabric coupons)!!!
I keep looking at my inspiration card box and feel like something is missing. I can not put a bow on top of my card box like the inspiration b/c I put my card hole on the top.
Do you have an good suggestions for what to add? It is difficult to add things bc the card box is round.
Also should I label the card box? Will everyone know to put the card in the box? Should I make the card hole opening more clear? Like a crystal border around the opening?
Suggestions please
ETA: I can't add my pics... so they are in my album.. this is my inspiration..
It's kind of hard for me to explain w/out drawing you a diagram but follow the ribbon down & once you get to bottom of 1st tier make a bow - & do that for 2nd & 3rd tier too. Does this make any sense??

wow! you did an amzing job. i say try to get that pink color in some fake flowers and put those on top...with enough room of course for the cards!!

wow that really does look good! And I like the round boxes more than the rectangle. What if you add your names and wedding date in rhinestones on the bottom box? I like the idea of a crystal or pearl border around the opening for the cards too

I would def add card box on the front of one of the black tiers and on th other black teir i would put your and FH names and the date!! but it looks GREAT!

Looks great! You can still have the ribbon if you want to, just have each side of it go into the card slot and match up on the other side, then whatever side is going to be the front, just set the bow on top to the far side of the card slot, I think that would look really pretty! You did an awesome job!

This is amazing!!!! I hope mine comes out this good. I think you could add a bow to each ribbon thats already there or maybe so a monogram of some kind in crystals on the top box.

i wish i could do such an awesome DIY! I think its the ribbon thats throwing you off!! Add a burst of color somewhere and you will feel better!
