Do you have placemats, napkins and runners or tablecloths?
If you do, please let me see. I have a wooden table that I want to dress up, so I need ideas.

Great question. I would love to see pictures too. Right now, I have is a silk floral arrangement my grandma gave me - I do want a runner - but am looking for ideas on how people keep their dining room tables when not in use.

I have a square tablecloth on our table, its sideways so that the points are at the head, foot and sides of table. Then I have 2 candle holders with greenery around the base and a beautiful fall flower arrangement in the middle.
I will take a picture and post it tonight!

right now I have a fall theme table runner, with different size ceramic pupkins, and draped with those fake leaves.

I have a runner with a silk flower centerpiece in the middle usually. Now that it is fall, I have a little thing of wheat surrounded by mini corn cobs and mini pumpkins as a centerpiece.

When we are using the table for dining we put a small bowl with poppouri in the center usually on a place mat.

Our table is tiny, so I keep minimum # of things there...
Decorated with a vinyl tablecloth, a salt shaker and pepper mill, and a set of coasters...
What's the point of runners? just decoration? Why would you use them instead of a table cloth?

I'll talk a picture this weekend and see if I can't post it. I've got a tablecloth, placemats, napkins and some fall decorations- including a few left over small pumkins from the wedding... What does your dining room set look like? Ours is very informal- casual table and chairs... no china cabinet or anything till we buy a home
